The Rogue runs straight through Shady Cove, drift boats slipping past all summer while the ponderosa and oak on the canyon walls hold the heat well past sundown. Riverfront yards ask a lot of their trees, and the trees ask a lot back: a pine over a deck, a madrone crowding a roofline, a limb hanging above where everyone parks. Removal here goes piece by piece, with the fall path worked out before the first cut. Trimming and pruning keep the canopy off the house and out of the lines while leaving the shade that makes an August afternoon bearable. When wind or wet snow comes down the canyon, storm cleanup gets the drive open and the river view back.
