Gray & Eggers Lawn Care

About Gray & Eggers Lawn Care

Late September in Scappoose brings long gold evenings, the kind that stretch past seven and set the grass seed heads glowing along the old Crown Zellerback railbed east of town. Gray & Eggers Lawn Care spends those weeks pulling cores and spreading seed, setting lawns up to drink the coming rain instead of shedding it. Summer runs to a steadier beat: mow, trim the fence lines, edge the drive, then blow every last clipping off the concrete before the truck rolls on. Because winter here is rain more than anything, the leaf work carries deep into November, keeping the big-leaf maple drop from matting down over the turf. Grass grows most of the year in this valley, and there is real satisfaction in staying even with all of it.
