About Pro Care Projects

By the middle of October the big-leaf maples around Main City Park let go all at once, and every lawn in Gresham vanishes under yellow the size of dinner plates. Pro Care Projects spends those weeks with rakes and blowers, pulling the leaves off before the rain mats them down and smothers the grass underneath. The rest of the year keeps its own rhythm — mowing, edging, trimming, feeding the turf, thinning the moss this valley grows whether anyone invites it or not. Bare tree, clean grass, swept walk in November: a plain thing to take pride in, and we do. Come March that lawn wakes up green instead of gray, which was the point all along.
