Buel's Greenscapes

About Buel's Greenscapes

There is a town where you ride an elevator between neighborhoods, and Oregon City is it — downtown down at the water, the rest of the streets standing a hundred feet overhead. Buel's Greenscapes works both levels: mowing on the flats near the river, then up on the bluff where the yards catch more wind and dry a week earlier. The routine is cutting, string trimming, and clean lines along drives and walkways, with the clippings blown back off the concrete. Come autumn the work turns to cleanups, hauling out everything the maples let go. Midday in July, mower shut off and the passes running true across a front yard, the whole block reads a little calmer.
