About Sustainable Landscape Services LLC

The valley floor at Walterville spreads out into hayfields and irrigation ditches, alders standing along every fence line and the river never far off to the north. Sustainable Landscape Services LLC starts here in March, when everything turns that particular wet Oregon green and lawns need cutting before the ground is entirely ready. Aeration opens up soil that has taken all winter of rain, overseeding fills the thin spots, and fertilization gives the season something to run on. From there it is mowing and edging on a rhythm, weeds kept out of the turf, beds tidied as the year goes along. A lawn out on these flats can look extraordinary by June, and getting it there is a matter of doing small things in the right order.
