About EC landscape maintenance

Ten minutes southwest of town the ground opens at the Cove Palisades, where the Deschutes, the Crooked and the Metolius meet in one canyon of stacked basalt. Spring reaches the yards in Madras a little slower than it reaches that water, so EC landscape maintenance watches for the week the grass finally decides to move. Then the first mow of the year goes down, the thatch comes up, and edges get re-cut where winter softened them. Fertilizer and weed control follow, and after that it is a steady summer cadence of mowing, trimming and hauling the clippings away. A lawn that starts the season right holds its color straight through the hot months, and that is the plan every April.
