Fog settles into the Yamhill Valley most winter mornings, and along 99W in Lafayette it hangs in the bare hazelnut rows until nearly noon. Oregon Arborist works those orchard-and-vineyard edges and the old shade trees in town, pruning for structure while the branches are still readable. Tree health out here is a slow conversation between ground that stays wet all winter and Augusts that go bone dry, and a tree shows the strain long before it fails. Trimming keeps limbs clear of rooflines and of anything that has to pass beneath them. When a tree reaches its end, removal is done cleanly, and the ones left around it get room to grow into the gap.
