About The Lawn Barber

A haircut and a lawn have the same secret: the cut matters, but the line around it is what people see. The Lawn Barber works Jefferson's yards on that principle, mowing at an even height and then going back to edge every walk, drive and curb until the border is a drawn line. Trimming closes out the corners, around posts and foundations and the base of the maples, and the hedges get taken down square. Midday in July the mower and the trimmer are the loudest things on a side street, and by two o'clock the block looks tidied. Small town, straight lines, no loose ends — that is the standard the name sets and the one the work keeps.
