October is when the valley remembers how to rain, and Hubbard yards fill up fast with leaves that arrive all at once on the first real wind. Green Bug Construction meets that turn of the year with mowers still running and rakes already out, taking the last cuts of the season and clearing lawns before the wet mats them down and burns a brown shape into the grass. The work is unglamorous and deeply useful: mow, edge, trim, gather, haul away, repeat until the trees are bare. A yard left clean going into a Willamette winter comes back thicker in spring, and that is the quiet bet behind every autumn visit. There is a good tired that follows a full trailer down 99E at dusk.
