About Mt Hood Gardens Inc

Some mornings in Hood River the mountain arrives before the sun does, a white shoulder standing over the valley while the orchard rows below are still blue with shade. Mt Hood Gardens Inc works in that early light, mowing and edging lawns from the benchland above town down toward the river. There is a real satisfaction in the moment a border goes sharp against a walkway, the line clean enough to sight down like a rifle barrel. The crew trims close along fences and posts, clears the clippings, and leaves a yard that looks cared for from the street. By the time the afternoon wind comes up the valley, the grass is already lying in neat bands and the day's work is behind them.
