T & A's yard and garden

About T & A's yard and garden

The old blocks off Main Street keep their gardens the way this town has always kept them — roses crowding the porch rail, a plum tree leaning over the fence, something green holding on all winter because a Forest Grove winter never quite closes the door. T & A's yard and garden tends both halves of that: mowing, edging and trimming for the lawn, weeding, pruning, bed work and cleanup for everything growing around it. February is the turn, when the rain eases and the first cut of the year gets taken on ground still too soft to hurry. By June the beds are clear, the grass is even, and the whole small lot reads as one thing looked after rather than two. That is what a garden town looks like up close, one address at a time.
