Blossom Gulch drops toward downtown the way most things in Coos Bay do — gently, greenly, with rain somewhere in its history. Late summer is the one stretch when the grass finally slows and a mowing pass leaves a line that keeps its shape for days. Blossom and Burn holds yards to a set schedule right through it: cutting, edging along the sidewalk seams, string trimming the awkward corners, and clearing the debris that collects under hedges. The marine layer usually gives up by noon, and the finished lawn comes up bright and even underneath it. The work runs across Coos Bay and out through Empire and North Bend.
