Wheels A Turnin

About Wheels A Turnin

Out toward Selma the valley opens up around Lake Selmac, and on a summer evening the light comes off the water and lies flat across every field between there and Cave Junction. Wheels A Turnin runs lawn care through that country — mowing, trimming, edging and hauling off the cleanup, one property to the next. The work has a cadence: engine on, pass after even pass, then the quiet afterward with the lines still standing in the grass. Yards get big out here, and there is nothing wrong with a job that takes the whole afternoon. Rolling away from a place that looks better than it did is a decent way to close out a day.
