About Genesis

Brownsville sits where the Calapooia comes down out of the Cascade foothills, past a Main Street of old brick storefronts and a park that fills up every summer. Genesis keeps yards here in shape through the valley's two moods: the long gray wet, and the hot bright stretch when the grass-seed fields go gold on every side of town. Mowing, edging, trimming and seasonal cleanup are the work, timed to a valley spring that can put on inches while your back is turned. By July the same lawn asks for a different touch, cut a little higher against the dry. A yard kept on that rhythm looks right in every month, which is all anybody is really after.
