When the irrigation canals open in April the whole east side of Bend hears it — water moving again through the ditches, and the brown lawns out around Boyd Acres deciding to come back. Green Team Home and Landscape starts its year right there, with the spring cleanup, the raking out of everything the wind piled up since October, and the season's first cut. From then on the rhythm holds: mow, edge, trim, blow, and keep the fertilizing, aeration and overseeding moving through the warm months. October runs it in reverse, leaves and last cuts and putting a yard down for the cold. A green square in the high desert is no small thing, and it gets treated that way.
