About Hauer's Lawn Care & Equipment

There's an hour on Marine Drive, early, when the mist still sits on the water and the only sounds are gulls and an engine warming up. Hauer's Lawn Care & Equipment starts there and works outward — mowing, edging, string trimming, and the cleanups that follow a windy night. Astoria's lawns grow hard and lie damp, which asks a lot of a blade and more of the person behind it. Done right, the cut is even end to end and the clippings don't clump, and that is the whole quiet ambition of a mowing day. Astoria, Warrenton and the towns along the lower Columbia make up the round.
