Maciel Yard Maintenance

About Maciel Yard Maintenance

Fog fills the valley floor most winter mornings and lifts off the Hackleman district around ten, leaving the old porches steaming and the grass beaded silver. Maciel Yard Maintenance starts its Albany rounds in that half-light — mowing, trimming, edging and hauling clippings out of lots that were platted narrow a long time ago and still are. Camellias drop their heavy blooms onto the strip of lawn between sidewalk and street, and someone has to rake them up. By April the mowing turns weekly and stays that way until the ground finally dries out in July. The pleasure of it is the after: a small yard squared off clean, the hedge line straight, nothing left behind on the walk.
