About Cole's Tree Services

Wright City sits in the pine timber of McCurtain County, where rain comes soft and often and the woods begin exactly where the mowing stops. Cole's Tree Services works that southeast corner of the state — shortleaf pine and hardwood mixed, tall and close, often leaning toward a roof that was built when they were smaller. Trimming opens a canopy so light gets down to the grass and the limbs quit dragging across the shingles. Pruning is the unhurried part of the work, done now for the sake of what the tree becomes. When a storm comes up out of the Little River bottoms and drops pine across a driveway, the cleanup ends with the wood cut, the brush hauled and the way out open. A removal leaves a clean stump line and a yard that suddenly has a sky.
