Lawn Love

About Lawn Love

Warr Acres is a small city folded inside a much bigger one, a few square miles of brick houses and old shade trees just off the Northwest Expressway, with the wind coming across from Lake Hefner most afternoons to remind everybody this was prairie first. Lawn Love works those blocks from the April green-up onward, when a warm week and one good storm can put three inches on a lawn overnight. The routine is mowing on rotation, string trimming around the posts and tree rings, edging the walks back to the line the sidewalk always meant to have, and the clippings blown off the drive. By late fall it is leaves, gathered and hauled before the north wind stacks them against the fence. Nothing complicated — just a yard that looks looked-after every week of the northwest-side year.
