Lawnology

About Lawnology

Pontotoc is an old Chickasaw word for cattails growing on the prairie, and the land northwest of Ada still keeps that memory in its low swales and its wide grass. Lawnology reads a yard much the same way: what grows where, how the water moves across it, where the mower ought to turn. Then comes the plain work — mowing to an even height, edging the concrete, trimming the places a deck cannot square up, and clearing every clipping before pulling out. Lawns answer to consistency more than to anything else, week over week from green-up to the last cut. The result is a yard that looks composed instead of simply cut.
