About Scott's Professional Lawncare

The wind crosses this part of Creek County with nothing much to slow it, and by late afternoon it carries cut grass halfway down the road. Scott's Professional Lawncare works the yards of Slick and the towns around it — Depew, Milfay, Drumright — a country of red dirt turnrows and places that were busier once, when the oil was new. Every lot gets the same attention whether it fronts the highway or sits behind a windbreak of elms: an even cut, a crisp line along the drive, string-trimming close where the deck cannot reach. Later in the year the bermuda goes tawny and the work turns to leaves and one last clean pass before the cold. Stopping at the gate to see an entire yard lying in one direction is its own kind of good.
