About Baker Boys Lawn Service

Out west of town the Shawnee Twin Lakes hold the wind all afternoon, and that same wind crosses the yards here, laying the grass flat in silver sheets before it stands back up. Baker Boys Lawn Service cuts into it — mowing, string trimming along fences and flower beds, edging the sidewalk seams, clearing clippings off drives and porches. Late spring is the hard stretch, when Bermuda outruns everybody and a lawn can go shaggy between one Sunday and the next. Holding a schedule is most of the craft: the same day, the same height, the yard looking tended when you pull in from work. Shawnee, Tecumseh and the country roads that run between them.
