Official Lawn Care

About Official Lawn Care

Porter is peach country, a small town set in the green folds of Wagoner County where the orchards go pink in March and by July the whole place smells like fruit. Official Lawn Care works those hillside and bottomland yards, mowing on the schedule eastern Oklahoma rain and humidity insist on, trimming along fence lines and outbuildings, edging drives and walks, and clearing away what a wet season leaves behind. Grass grows hard between the Arkansas River bottoms and the rise toward Coweta, and staying ahead of it is most of the craft. There is a plain pleasure in a Porter yard cut clean on a June evening, with the light going soft over the orchard rows. Then the truck heads on to the next one.
