About 101 Outdoors Inc.

Southwest of town the Salt Fork bends through the old 101 Ranch country, where Oklahoma grass has always done what Oklahoma grass does: race in May, dig in through August. 101 Outdoors Inc. mows Ponca City to that rhythm, cutting on the schedule the heat sets rather than the one the calendar suggests. Trimming runs tight along fence lines and foundations, and the edging leaves a single unbroken stroke between concrete and green. A south wind carries clipping dust across a yard here most afternoons, so the final blow-down counts for as much as the pass with the deck. At five o'clock, with the shadows drawn long across a finished lawn, the work speaks plainly for itself.
