Shamrock Dirt Work

About Shamrock Dirt Work

Rain on red dirt has a smell you do not forget, and out along the section-line roads east of Oklahoma City there is plenty of both. Shamrock Dirt Work keeps yards mowed and trimmed in that country, where a lawn ends at a fencerow and the ditch grass is as much a part of the job as the front slope. Wide lots, long driveways, and a horizon you can actually see: the work is plain and the scale is not. The mowing, the trim work, the edges, and clearing off whatever the season dropped — kept to a schedule, that is what makes a place look tended rather than merely occupied. On a clear evening a fresh-cut acre going blue in the dusk is worth stopping to look at.
