About Oklahoma Brush Hog Mowing and Land Clearing and Mulching Services by Rokicki's Remodeling

East of the interstate, Oklahoma City still keeps its acreage — blackjack oaks standing in red dirt, fence lines swallowed by briar, bottomland running down toward the Deep Fork. By August a neglected lot out here can stand shoulder-high in johnsongrass and sumac, and it takes a brush hog, not a mower, to hand the ground back to its owner. That is the work: rough-cut passes across pasture and vacant lots, brush and saplings cleared, the cut material mulched down where it fell so the field can breathe again. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass at dusk, when the dust settles pink over ground a person can finally walk across. Northeast Oklahoma City, Spencer, Jones and Choctaw — land going back to being land.
