About Ryan's Services

Nowata took its name from a Delaware word meaning welcome, and the town still sits that way — open prairie on three sides and the Verdigris River easing along to the east. Ryan's Services keeps yards here mown, edged and trimmed from green-up to the last cut, from the shaded streets in town to places out toward Delaware and Lenapah. Northeast Oklahoma grass runs hard through a wet June and stalls out in a dry August, so the schedule bends to what the lawn is actually doing. Either way the finish reads the same: even cut, defined edge, walks and drive cleared off. A town named for welcome deserves yards to match.
