Spring storms come into Lincoln County out of the southwest, and the morning after one there is always a limb down across somebody's yard and a scatter of torn green leaves on the drive. Outdoor Fix-it Fellas turn up for that morning — hauling the debris off, raking the ground back to something clean, then mowing whatever the storm laid flat. The rest of the season runs its ordinary round: cutting, string trimming around the outbuildings, edging the walks, clearing out the beds. Country places toward Tryon and Agra ask for a little of everything at once, which suits how these two work. What's left behind is a yard that looks like the weather never came through at all.
