Mannford Lawn and Garden

About Mannford Lawn and Garden

Mannford is a town that picked itself up and moved uphill when Keystone Lake came in, and the water has been part of the place ever since — coves at the end of the road, wind off the open lake by mid-afternoon. Spring gets here in a hurry. One warm week in April and the bermuda is away, and Mannford Lawn and Garden is out with mowers and trimmers, bringing yards back from the flat brown of winter. The work is mowing, edging, trimming and clearing off whatever the season left behind, and the payoff is that first cut of the year: stripes laid down, the walk swept clean, the whole yard looking like it intends to grow. From the lake roads on through Prue, Kellyville and out toward Cleveland, the routes fill up about as fast as the grass does.
