About KB & Sons Lawn Care LLC

Late August in the hills above Fort Gibson Lake, the heat holds until well after supper and the cicadas run the whole valley like a tuned engine. That is when KB & Sons Lawn Care LLC finishes a day's mowing — long shadows lying across the yard, the lines running straight toward the treeline. The ground in north Cherokee County is chert and thin soil over rock, so a lawn that comes in thick has been looked after by somebody. Trimming around the mailbox, around the porch steps, around the propane tank, then the clippings off the walk and the gate left the way it was found. That is what a week here is made of, one yard at a time.
