Saucedo's Lawn Care

About Saucedo's Lawn Care

By ten o'clock on a July morning the heat comes up off a Lawton driveway in visible waves, and the only shade for blocks is whatever the pecans in Elmer Thomas Park are willing to spare. Saucedo's Lawn Care starts long before that, when the streets are still cool and the grass cuts cleanest. Mowing, edging along walks and drives, trimming the corners a mower can't reach, then sweeping every last clipping off the concrete — the routine that keeps a yard even through the hardest stretch of summer. There's real pleasure in stepping back at the end of a lot and seeing the stripes run true, the edge a clean line between green and gray. Come back next week and do it again; that is how a lawn stays a lawn in this heat.
