Shawn's Lawns

About Shawn's Lawns

Saturday morning in Eufaula smells like cut grass and somebody's smoker getting an early start. Shawn's Lawns works the ordinary yards — a quarter acre, one shade tree, a chain-link corner where the mower has to turn tight — and takes them seriously. Mowing goes in alternating passes so the light catches the rows, string trimming cleans the posts and the mailbox, and the sidewalk edge gets cut like a line drawn on purpose. Bermuda in this part of the state rewards a consistent height far more than it rewards heroics, so the schedule holds. Small yards, finished all the way into the corners, are the entire point.
