Oakwood Lawns

About Oakwood Lawns

Edmond sits on the edge of the Cross Timbers, and the blackjack and post oaks that came with the land still stand in the back half of a great many lots. Oakwood Lawns works underneath them: mowing through dappled light where grass grows thin, hauling off the leaf drop that comes late and stubborn, keeping mulch tidy around trunks that were here first. Shrubs are trimmed back into shape rather than shaved flat. In summer the cutting height goes up beneath the canopy, because shaded turf needs its leaf to feed itself. Yards like that never look manicured, exactly — they look cared for, which is the better thing.
