The old blocks under Purcell's bluff are full of small square yards, tight corners and fence lines a wide deck will never reach. M&M Handyman and Lawn Service works them slowly: mow first, then trim around porch piers, clothesline poles, meter boxes and gateposts until nothing is left standing tall. Sidewalks and drives are edged so the concrete keeps its shape against the grass, and the trimmings come off them before the truck moves. Small yards show every missed corner, which is exactly why the corners get the time. Through eastern McClain County — Wayne, Rosedale, Byars — the order of work stays the same.
