About Squishy's lawn service

After a good spring rain the ground around Duncan goes soft and red, and everything standing on it grows like it has somewhere to be. Squishy's lawn service turns up once the yard has dried enough to cut without tearing, which is a judgment call anyone who mows in this soil learns to make early. Then it is the full pass: mowing, trimming along the fence, edging the walk, and blowing clippings off the drive so nothing tracks indoors. The name is a joke; the stripes across the yard are not. Grass in this stretch of Oklahoma comes on hard from April to October, and staying on top of it means turning up week after week.
