Elawns

About Elawns

Southwest of town, Lake Humphreys sits in a shallow bowl of prairie where the water turns silver in the last hour before dark. Elawns tends the yards back in Duncan proper through those same long June days — mowing on a set schedule, trimming around posts and tree rings, edging the walks, blowing the drives clear. Bermuda grass in this country rewards a steady hand and punishes a skipped week, so the calendar matters nearly as much as the blade does. What comes of it is a lawn with a clean line at the curb and no ragged corners tucked behind the shed. Easy to describe, and very satisfying to stand and look at.
