About Matias Landscaping

Out in northwest Washita County the sky does most of the talking — wheat stubble running flat to the horizon, turbines turning slow above Foss, section roads going straight for miles through red dirt. Matias Landscaping works underneath all that openness, shaping yards that can hold their own against the wind: beds edged and mulched, shrubs trimmed back, trees ringed clean, grass cut and the trimmings swept off the drive. Water is precious here and shade has to be earned, so plantings go where they will actually make it through a Washita August. There is a real pleasure in pulling up to a place near Canute or Burns Flat and finding the yard looking deliberate against all that prairie. That is the whole idea — one green, kept square of ground under a very big sky.
