Lawn Guard

About Lawn Guard

Dewey keeps its old bones: the white frame hotel on the corner, a short main street, the fairgrounds that fill up once a year, and prairie starting again the moment the last block ends. Lawn Guard looks after the grass in between — mowing, string trimming, edging the walks and drives, and clearing off the cuttings so a place is finished rather than merely cut. Washington County summers push hard, with sun that bleaches the turf and a south wind that carries dust up the street all afternoon, so keeping a lawn on a steady schedule is half the battle won. The work rewards consistency more than anything else: same day, same height, same attention to the corners. A yard held to that standard stands out on a Dewey block, quietly and without any fuss.
