Greenfield Mechanical

About Greenfield Mechanical

October mornings in Cushing start slow and cold — fog sitting in the low ground, frost gone white across a windshield, engines warming while the sun works its way over the treeline. Greenfield Mechanical is out in that first hour, taking the season's last cuts, trimming back the ragged edges, and moving into leaf work as the hackberries and elms let go all at once. Fall cleanup here is a matter of timing and repetition: the wind takes a yard apart on Tuesday and you put it back together on Wednesday. Everything gets edged, blown off and hauled away, so walks and drives come out bare and the turf goes into winter without a smothering blanket on it. There is something plainly good about looking back at a yard stripped down to clean grass on a bright cold afternoon.
