Blackard Tree Services

About Blackard Tree Services

The Verdigris runs east of Claremore through bottomland timber, and up in town the older streets keep a canopy that turns the summer sidewalk twenty degrees kinder. Blackard Tree Services works both — tree removal in the river bottoms where a cottonwood has outgrown its footing, tree trimming and pruning through the neighborhoods where a limb has found its way onto a porch roof. Rogers County weather can build fast on a spring afternoon, and storm damage cleanup afterward is steady, unglamorous work: sectioning, hauling, raking, until a yard is a yard again. The best part of the job is the walk-through at the end, when a homeowner looks up and sees more sky and less worry. A good day's work here is measured in what it leaves standing.
