Allmighty Lawns

About Allmighty Lawns

First light in Blanchard comes up over the hay meadows east of town, and the dew holds maybe an hour before the day takes it off the blades. Allmighty Lawns is out about then, when the air is still cool enough to work in and the scissor-tails are strung along the fence wire like notes. Mowing, string trimming around posts and beds, edging where turf meets concrete — all of it done while the morning is generous, so folks come home at five to a yard already handled. A trimmed line along a walk is a small thing until you see one done right, and then you can't unsee the ones that aren't. By the time the day turns hot there's a fresh-cut smell on the block and a truck already two streets over.
