About Washita Valley Sod LLC

Ardmore wakes up green in March, when the Arbuckle hills to the north shed their winter brown and the red clay yards in town begin to push. Washita Valley Sod LLC mows and keeps those lawns from that first flush all the way through a long Carter County summer. Bermuda here is generous and unruly — it will jump a sidewalk in a week — so the edge is cut back sharp and held that way. Trimming goes around every post oak, mailbox and flowerbed, and the drive is cleared before the truck rolls on. A yard kept like that holds its shape right through August, when everything else has quit trying.
