Sammy’s Tree Service

About Sammy’s Tree Service

The Arbuckles rise south of Ardmore in worn grey ridges, and the town below them keeps a canopy of pecan, elm and post oak that softens every street in the heat of August. Sammy's Tree Service moves through those neighborhoods in the early hours, doing the tree trimming and pruning that keeps limbs off shingles and out of the lines before the day turns hot. Tree removal is handled with the same care whether it is a backyard pecan or a leaning hackberry on a fence row. When a line of storms sweeps up from Texas and leaves the alleys full of wood, storm damage cleanup is the work of putting a street back in order. The reward is the sound at the end of a job: no saw, no chipper, just a breeze in a crown that is finally shaped to carry it.
