Alpha Services

About Alpha Services

First light over Hardy Murphy Coliseum finds the arena dirt still raked flat and the grass along the lot beaded with damp. That is Alpha Services' favorite hour to start, cutting while the air is honest and the ground has not begun to give off heat. Their work runs the ordinary and the overgrown alike — mowing, trimming, edging, brush and tall-grass knockdown on lots that got away from somebody, seasonal cleanups that haul the winter out of a yard. Southern Oklahoma grass does not wait politely; it puts on inches after every warm rain, and somebody has to meet it. By the time the day's heat stacks up over Ardmore, whole blocks look cut, blown and squared away.
