Dell's Lawn Care

About Dell's Lawn Care

Cowan Lake goes flat and pewter in late October, a few miles southwest of town, and the geese fussing over it are the first honest sign of what is coming. Dell's Lawn Care runs the whole arc of the Wilmington year, mowing and trimming from the first green push in April to the last leaf-strewn cut in November. Then the equipment changes and the hours move to the dark end of the clock — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks, spreading salt when a wet, heavy storm rides up the Ohio Valley into Clinton County. The pleasure is the same either way: a property that plainly looks after itself because somebody looked after it. Straight lines in summer, open pavement in winter.
