Lincoln Snow Removal

About Lincoln Snow Removal

By midnight the traffic on Euclid Avenue has thinned to a truck or two, and the streetlights along Wickliffe's commercial strip stand ringed with falling snow. Lincoln Snow Removal is out in it — plowing parking lots and driveways, clearing entries and sidewalks by hand, salting the approaches so the first car of the morning finds grip instead of ice. A lake-effect band can drop inches in an hour and then quit, which means running the route more than once and putting the piles somewhere they will not drift back across. There is pride in an empty lot at six in the morning with clean lines and a bare surface. Winter on this side of Lake County is long, and the work is steady.
