About Baffa Landscape Design

Wickliffe sits a few miles inland from Lake Erie, close enough that the lake writes its own winter here, band after band drifting south over the rooftops. Baffa Landscape Design works those nights — plowing driveways along the side streets off Euclid Avenue, cutting lots down to pavement, laying salt where the cold has glazed a walk. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway that is already open at five in the morning, before anyone has pulled a coat on. The work is snow removal, plain and whole: clearing, stacking, de-icing, and coming back when a second band arrives. When the plow finishes a pass and the concrete shows dark and clean behind it, that is the whole point of the night.
