Lydias Lawn Care

About Lydias Lawn Care

White Oak rides the ridge northwest of Cincinnati, where the big oaks the place is named for still shade whole streets. Early on a spring morning the dew is heavy and the dogwoods are out, and Lydias Lawn Care is already moving through the neighborhoods with the mower, even passes, close trimming around mailbox posts and tree rings, a crisp line along every walk. Hill yards make a person work for them; a slope has to be cut across, carefully, and the finish still has to look level from the street. Through the season there are beds to clear, grass to hold at a height that survives an Ohio Valley August, and leaves to move once the oaks decide. The best moment is the last look back before the trailer gate goes up.
