About Blakes Lawn Service, LLC

A January night in West Salem is wind with nothing to slow it — squalls come down off the lake and cross the open Wayne County fields until they pile against every drive in town. Blakes Lawn Service, LLC runs those nights, plowing, clearing walks and steps, laying down salt so the morning is safe underfoot. Then the year turns and the same properties want the grass cut, the borders trimmed and the walk edges reopened, right through from first green to last leaf. Different machines, same streets, same doors. Bare pavement by daylight in winter; a straight-cut lawn by suppertime in June.
