Deems landscaping and lawn care

About Deems landscaping and lawn care

The Stillwater River bends past West Milton with a low steady sound at the falls, and on June mornings the mist off it hangs in the yards along the bank until the sun burns through. Deems landscaping and lawn care mows into that light with straight passes, trimmed fence lines and edges cut clean along the driveways of Miami County homes. Grass grows fast in the deep river-valley ground, so the week has a rhythm to it: cut, trim, blow the clippings back off the walk, move on. Come autumn the maples let go all at once and the same yards need raking and clearing before the first hard rain mats everything down. It is ordinary work that leaves a place looking cared for, which is the whole point of it.
